Lawsuit against Apple for using Mobile Headsets

On Tuesday, November 20, 2012, Intelligent Smart Phone Concept (plaintiff) filed a complaint against Apple (defendant) for patent infringement in the U.S. District Court of California (case no. (3:12-cv-05951). 

Apple designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, computer software, and personal computers. 

The patent US7373182 involved in suit is currently assigned[*] to Intelligent Smart Phone Concept (source: Maxval’s Assignment Database). The patent entitled Wireless mobile phone including a headset was issued on May 13, 2008 and expires[†] by March 01, 2022. 

This patent describes an interface that allows a removable headset to receive at least telephony audio signals from the phone and to provide audio signals to the phone. According to the complaint, plaintiff alleges that defendant has infringed the ‘182 patent by including headphones with its phone devices.
