The
‘542 patent is currently assigned[*] to George W Hindman (source: Maxval’s Assignment Database). The patent entitled Mobile unit attached in a mobile environment that fully restricts
access to data received via wireless signal to a separate computer in the
mobile environment was issued on September 28, 2010 and expires[†] on
February 24, 2018. Concinnitas is the owner with all substantive rights to the ’542
patent.
The patent describes a method for input/output
management in a mobile environment. One embodiment includes a mobile unit
comprising one processor, a data bus interface and a computer readable memory to
store unique hardware identification. The mobile unit can receive a wireless
signal and communicate a set of data across the data bus. The persistent unique
hardware identification of the mobile unit is used to restrict access to data
received at the mobile unit via the wireless signal.

in 1996, Samsung Telecommunications America is a subsidiary of Samsung
Electronics.

alleges that the defendants manufactures and sells products including Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S II,
Galaxy S III, Rugby Smart, Captivate Glide, Rugby Pro, Ruby II, Galaxy Tab
that infringe the methods claimed in the ’542 patent.
