It operates through seven business segments. Hewlett-Packard was founded by William R. Hewlett and David Packard in 1939 and is headquartered in Palo Alto, CA.

As in Complaint:
Plaintiff alleges that defendant infringes plaintiff’s patented technology in its device for recording and recalling messages received through telecommunication as claimed in the ‘576 patent.
