Kia Motors is being sued for patent infringement in
Texas Eastern District Court on Feb 13th. Kia Motors Corporation,
through its subsidiaries, engages in the manufacture and sale of motor
vehicles. The company manufactures and sells a range of passenger cars,
recreational vehicles and other commercial vehicles in the domestic and

systems for controlling components in a vehicle based on the stability of the
vehicle and the ‘047 patent specifically covers protection systems, in the
event of a crash involving the vehicle.
The complaint says that the defendant manufactures vehicles
that include automatic crash notification systems and other similar control
systems, including UVO eServices, that infringe the methods covered in the
patents-in-suit.
